His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Budair, Imam and Khatib of the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid al-Nabawi), currently on an official visit to the Maldives, shared a joyful and heartwarming moment with preschool students in Male' this morning.
The special gathering turned into a cherished experience for the young children, who were visibly thrilled to meet the esteemed Islamic scholar. Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Budair expressed his happiness at the meeting, extending his heartfelt wishes for the students’ bright and prosperous futures.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, several students recited verses from the Holy Quran, demonstrating their dedication and love for Islamic teachings. The Sheikh offered words of encouragement and praise for their efforts.
This visit by Sheikh Dr. Al-Budair comes at the invitation of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, following the guidance and vision of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, as part of an initiative to invite prominent Islamic figures to the Maldives to inspire and uplift the community.
During his official visit, Sheikh Dr. Al-Budair also met with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, senior officials of the ministry, and members of the Fatwa Council.
