President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that every individual in the Hajj Corporation’s queue for 2025 will have the opportunity to perform Hajj this year. This marks a historic achievement, as it is the first time in many years that all scheduled pilgrims will be able to make the sacred journey within the same year.
The President shared this significant update on March 24, 2025, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and the Hajj Corporation to enhance the arrangements for Maldivians traveling to Hajj. Furthermore, the Ministry has introduced and gazetted a new policy aimed at streamlining and strengthening the Hajj process.
This development reflects one of President Muizzu’s key presidential pledges, aiming to improve the Hajj experience for Maldivian pilgrims. The strengthened system ensures that Maldivians wishing to undertake this important religious obligation will have a smoother and more efficient process in place.
