Construction of New Mosque at Maafannu Boduge Site to Begin After Ramadan

The Islamic Affairs Minister, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, has announced that construction of the new three-story mosque at the temporary Maafannu Boduge mosque site will commence following Ramadan.

In a recent meeting with the contractor overseeing the mosque project, the Minister discussed key aspects of the construction plans. The project is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and generous benefactors.

The mosque will feature a spacious design, with dedicated classrooms and a library aimed at enhancing the teaching of Quranic studies. This new facility is expected to serve as a vital educational and spiritual hub for the community.

The agreement for the construction was formalized last November, when the Ministry and the business team behind the project signed a contract to move forward with the development.

This initiative marks a significant step towards expanding religious and educational infrastructure in the area, contributing to the growth of Islamic learning and worship.
