Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha.
The meeting was held today at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. The meeting was attended by OIC Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha, his accompanying delegation, and senior officials from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
During the meeting, Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed expressed gratitude for their visit to the Maldives and the Ministry. He also acknowledged and thanked the OIC for their important ongoing work.
Furthermore, he appreciated OIC’s efforts regarding the Palestine issue. The meeting also included discussions about seeking assistance and cooperation from universities under the OIC to further develop the Islamic University of Maldives.
Additionally, extensive discussions were held regarding potential ways to collaborate with OIC member countries on various religious matters within the OIC’s mandate.
