The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Shaheem Ali Saeed, has proclaimed that the night of the 27th of Ramadan, 1446, marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Islamic civilization of the Maldives. The Minister made these remarks during a speech at the graduation ceremony of Hafiz (Quran memorization graduates) held on the same evening.
Dr. Shaheem emphasized that this event represents an honorable addition to the 800-year-old Islamic history of the nation. He also expressed gratitude to the current President, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, for his support in organizing the special ceremony.
The Minister further highlighted that the chapter being written in Maldivian history today will be filled with stories that will convey the values of Islamic civilization and faith to future generations. Additionally, he reassured that all actions taken by the Ministry are in line with the President’s directives and the principles outlined in his manifesto.
