His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Budair, the esteemed Imam of Masjid Al-Nabawi, held a special meeting this evening with a group of young Khatibs and Imams at the Islamic Center’s conference hall in Malé.
The gathering was graced by the presence of the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, and the Chief Imam of the Islamic Center, His Eminence Sheikh Mohamed Lateef.
During the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Al-Budair addressed the young religious leaders, offering words of guidance, inspiration, and encouragement in their sacred roles. His remarks emphasized the importance of upholding Islamic values and strengthening religious knowledge and leadership among the youth.
Sheikh Dr. Al-Budair’s visit to the Maldives comes at the invitation of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, under the direction of President Dr. Mohamed Muizz. The visit aims to reinforce the Islamic identity of the nation by engaging with distinguished Islamic scholars and fostering religious development across the country.
As part of his official engagements, Sheikh Dr. Al-Budair met with President Dr. Mohamed Muizz on Monday. He has also held discussions with Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem and senior officials and staff at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
The presence of the Imam of Masjid Al-Nabawi marks a significant milestone in the Maldives' efforts to deepen its Islamic roots and enhance religious education and leadership nationwide.
