Masjid Nabawi Imam Sheikh Dr. Salah Al Budair to Arrive in Maldives on Monday for Official Visit

Renowned Imam of Masjid al-Nabawi, Sheikh Dr. Salah Al Budair, is scheduled to arrive in the Maldives on an official visit this Monday. His visit comes following the official approval by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, last week.

The highly anticipated visit marks a significant moment for the Maldives, as Sheikh Dr. Salah Al Budair is one of the most respected Islamic scholars and religious figures in the Muslim world. His presence in the Maldives is expected to strengthen the spiritual ties between the Maldives and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Saudi government and the Saudi Embassy for their close coordination and efforts in facilitating the visit.

“We deeply thank the Saudi leadership and the embassy for making this visit possible,” said Dr. Shaheem. “All aspects of this historic trip are being organized under the guidance and direction of the President of the Maldives, demonstrating the importance we place on this visit.”

Further details of Sheikh Dr. Al Budair’s schedule in the Maldives, including public events or lectures, are expected to be released in the coming days.

The visit is seen as a testament to the strong and enduring brotherly ties between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia, especially in the field of religious affairs and cooperation.
