Significant efforts are underway to reduce the cost of Hajj for Maldivian pilgrims, Says Minister Shaheem.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, has announced that significant efforts are underway to reduce the cost of Hajj for Maldivian pilgrims, with plans to lower the price within this term.

During his address at the "Ahaa Forum," Dr. Shaheem highlighted that, in line with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s pledge, the Maldives Hajj Corporation is actively working on a special plan to make Hajj more affordable for the nation’s Muslim community. He assured the public that the cost of Hajj would be reduced during this administration.

The Minister also emphasized the progress made in strengthening the Maldives Hajj Corporation, noting that much work has been done to improve its services and build public trust in the organization. Efforts have been focused on enhancing the quality of services provided to Maldivian pilgrims, ensuring they have a more reliable and trustworthy experience when performing the sacred pilgrimage.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the religious needs of Maldivians and making Hajj more accessible to those wishing to fulfill this important duty.
